Progressive Art Collection App

At Progressive, we’re committed to protecting your privacy and earning your trust, and understand you may have questions about how we collect and use your data. That’s why in addition to our commitment to you in our Privacy & Security Policy at progressive.com, we want to clearly describe the data we collect and how we use it for the Progressive Art Collection application.

The Progressive Art Collection application (“App”) is designed to provide users an interactive experience with a portion of Progressive’s art collection. Use of the App is completely voluntary and conditioned on your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

Data Collected

All of the data the App collects is anonymized, meaning it cannot be linked to any individual user. The App uses geolocation to identify the state from which the App is being accessed. The App also collects and saves users’ identifications of artworks as “favorites” and records of users’ scans of artwork. The App may also request access to the mobile phone’s camera and the location where photos are stored on the mobile phone. The App does not have access to any of the photos saved to the mobile phone.

The App also collects mobile phone and App analytics information. Mobile phone information includes a device identifier, Wi-Fi status, date/time stamp and operating system data that is available to the App. App analytics information includes how often you use the App, which mobile screens you have viewed in the App, which referring/exit pages you have entered and left in the App, aggregated App usage, App performance data and other App activity.

How We Use Data

We may use the state location data to provide users a more streamlined App experience when using the scanning functionality. Granting access to the mobile device’s camera enables users to use the augmented reality functionality of the App, which allows users to scan certain artworks and display the artwork in the user’s own space. Granting access to the mobile device’s photo storage location allows users to save images of artwork displayed through the augmented reality feature.

App analytics information is used to help us understand how you interact with the App, so that we can continue to improve the experience.

We limit access to the information collected or derived from the App and use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to help protect it and your privacy. Progressive will retain information collected or derived from the App as required by our record retention policies.

When We May Disclose the App Data to Others

We may disclose data collected through the App with our service providers to assist us in providing and administering the App. We may share App analytics information with artists. We may also be required to disclose data collected through the App to others if legally obligated to respond to a subpoena or otherwise required by law. We may also share information collected or derived from the App to perform research and, if applicable, for fraud purposes.
